As part of my trip to IAPS 202, I traveled by car from Santa Monica, California to Albuquerque, New Mexico along Route 66. It was a very fun and relaxing road trip on the old road, also known as the Mother Road or Americas Highway. I made many stops along the way and enjoyed some of the old and still remaining landmarks. This is the first of hopefully many paintings that include the sights and landmarks along the route. This is the old Holland Burger Cafe later named Emma Jeans. Built in 1947, it still serves a loyal public in Victorville, California and is considered an iconic Route 66 burger cafe.
