The Open Road

On a trip from California to Albuquerque, New Mexico, I deviated a bit to go over to Canyon de Chelly National Monument. It is on Navajo land and is made up of beautiful sandstone cliffs. On the way there the summer monsoons were making their way over the land. The drive was very relaxing and beautiful. This painting was along highway 191 in north eastern Arizona.
